Our Commitment to Renewable Energy
A few years ago, we decided to invest in renewable energy, and now we produce all of our electricity needs from solar energy, combined with our combined heat and power plant (a system that generates both electricity and heat). We even feed electricity into the regional grid, becoming a micro-supplier instead of relying on long and complex power lines.

Our swimming pool is heated by our new air-source heat pump. This allows our guests to relax in pleasantly warm water at 30 degrees Celsius, entirely heated by renewable energy. The electricity for the heat pump comes from our new photovoltaic system, which generates 25 kW daily. This corresponds to an annual energy production of 22.5 MWh, equivalent to planting 455 trees or saving 9.9 tons of CO2—calculated based solely on the photovoltaic system.

Our sauna is also powered by our photovoltaic system or by our combined heat and power plant when the sun is not available.
